Short & To The Point.
It is beautiful Sunday here in Florida and while putting out some content I decided to put on some #JRE while I work and do chores.
In this episode #JRE2182 Rogan & Michael Malice, raised an alarming issue regarding the devastating impact of poor fishing practices on marine life. He highlighted that 90% of all big, edible fish have been killed as a result of these practices. The data supporting this claim is sourced from fish markets and fishing companies, who are responsible for sending out fishing boats."
The decimation of tuna and other edible fish in the Pacific can also be attributed to the rising prices in the meat and produce section. A can of tuna, averaging $1.75, combined with scrambled eggs, potatoes, plantains, or pita bread, makes for a cost-effective meal. However, as prices continue to rise, it becomes more justifiable to continue the unsustainable fishing practices that are driving these species towards extinction.
Instead of taking responsibility for their actions, companies and governments often blame the consumer for the increase in prices. This allows them to continue profiting from the exploitation of our ocean friends while the fish populations continue to decline. It is a clear example of how greed and financial gain are prioritized over sustainability and the long-term health of our marine ecosystems.
This was a compilation of human made posts on x in which we then took these posts and asked @grok to create intro and short body text in order to re-purpose our thoughts elsewhere.
Thank you as always for your time,
Stay safe, stay blessed, be easy.
